Boehner: 'All Options' on Table to Stop Obama Action on ImmigrationHouse Speaker John Boehner on Thursday said "all options are on the table" to prevent President Barack Obama from taking executive action on immigration, including the threat of another government shutdown.
Congress has until mid-December to act to prevent another shutdown.
Boehners assertion contradicts what incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said earlier in the day. "Well not be shutting the government down or threatening to default on the national debt," McConnell said.

(25,183 posts)Most Americans would rather see some sort of negotiated settlement in Congress over legalizing illegal immigrants, and not just some sort of executive order to deal with it, and provide another magnet to encourage it.
