is this not the crux of their latest strategy?

obamacare extends tax credits (subsidies) to people, in particular to those who get qualifying insurance on the federal exchange, in states that didn't put together their own state exchange.

obamacare's opponents want to take away those tax credits, i.e., they want people in those states to pay higher taxes.
