Talk radio is dying.

Podcasts (which Ed is now doing) are the future of spoken word 'broadcasting'.

Television is still the hottest place to be for a commentator like Schultz.
And MSNBC will survive, I believe, (unless Comcast kills it for its own political reasons) and its ratings improve as we move towards 2016. Of course, some changes are in order at the network, but also liberals and progressives ought to be a bit less critical of MSNBC and not demand some kind of ideological purity.

Speaking for myself, for all of MSNBC's flaws, I am very glad that it is there.

His attitude and demeanor even attracts the Limbaugh oriented because he likes hunting and fishing (of which, Limbaugh has probably done neither). Maybe Dems should pay a little more attention to him since he at least shows he has a set of balls. Something sorely lacking in Democratic politicians. I think Kennedy and Johnson were the last ones to exhibit such. Maybe Carter as well.
