The French Precedent: For Some Voting For HRC to block a RWer will almost be a remake of this:

Talking about holding noses....

In 2002, when the Socualist nominee was taken away from presidency secound round, all of our political spectrum called of people to " vote for the republic" so to blockany ppossible acces of Élysée from neo fascist leader (and Algeria war criminal..) Jean Marie Le Pen ( Marine's father and founder of FN).
So people voted, and all lefties, as my parents, showed up in polls station to unhappily cast a Chirac ballot.
On the personal side, it was this political earthquake wich first woke me up as a citizen and marked my entrance into political activism.
