Jon Stewart: "Jimmy Carter's, like, 108, he's out in Africa..."

Call him crazy, but Jon Stewart thinks there are more important things Dubya should be doing with his retirement.

This weekend Stewart sat down with his old friend Mo Rocca on CBS's "Sunday Morning" to talk about his new film "Rosewater," which he wrote and directed. The film covers the politics and protests of Iran's 2009 elections as seen through the eyes of one journalist.

With George W. Bush also being interviewed on that episode of "Sunday Morning," Stewart was asked about interviewing politicians and about the former president. Stewart answered the question the way only he could, comparing Bush with another former president, Jimmy Carter.

"Jimmy Carter's, like, 108, he's out in Africa, like, pulling Guinea worms out of children's feet trying to cure them. Bush is at home, 'Ah, bring me my fruit bowl, I'm doin' a still life. Heh heh heh.'"

I had to turn it off so I wouldn't throw something through the 20+-year-old TV set that I can't afford to replace because one of that filthy waste of human flesh's toadies took my job away from me and killed the career I busted my ass to achieve. I have yet to find another job to replace it. I hope that steaming pile of excrement, and everyone responsible for him being elected to office rots in hell. Fuck them all, good and hard.

All discussions of Il Dunce should be in a "two minute hate" format like yours.

Most of the jobs in my field are in research and government. Our federal funding was pulled for who fucking knows what reason. And, thanks to the "drown the government in the bathtub" types, government jobs are few and far between. Not to mention there's added competition for what's open from the thousands of state and federal scientists who had their jobs whacked by budget cuts. Also, they give priority to veterans and their spouses, regardless of how much more experience you might have. And, not many academic research jobs are available, because there's no funding. When the jobs do come up, they often go to a former student of the person doing the hiring.

On top of it all, I'm over 50, so I'm pretty much screwed.

When she saw the happy students including some in wheelchairs, 'Mommy' couldn't hide her disgust at their site. Awful woman, and her 'Dutch', worst pair I've heard of in the WH, even distain for their own kids.

paint in the bathtub.. isn't that what he does?

Thinking that was Jon Stewart's point.

My sister in San Diego said she saw the interview with the President and Bob Schieffer was respectful and Obama laid his for Immigration reform very well. She said they didn't show bush's interview in SD and she was very glad.
