A new study suggests that a rare statue of a gladiator is housed in a German museum. The catch: the warrior may be a woman.
In the International Journal of the History of Sport, Alfonso Manas of the University of Granada argues that the evidence indicates that this is "the second piece of visual evidence we have of female gladiators."

But I think it probably is a warrior woman.

Even the Sabine women who were taken were warriors before they got taken advantage of.
So it would not be a surprise if there were female gladiators.

lol, my guess is that it is something fashioned by a male gladiator to wank off during downtime. Or maybe there is a female league cos I find it hard for a woman to compete with men in physical combat.

Although I wouldn't entirely eliminate the possibility of some form of woman/man match up.
