Ted Nugent Stands By Obama Remarks, Compares Himself To 'Black Jew At A Nazi-Klan Rally' (AUDIO)
Posted: 04/17/2012 7:21 pm Updated: 04/17/2012 7:32 pm
Ted Nugent stood by his controversial comments about President Barack Obama and Democrats made over the weekend, telling conservative radio host Dana Loesch on Tuesday that he had been unfairly targeted for saying he would "either be dead or in jail" by next year if Obama is reelected.
"I'm a black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally," the rock star complained to Loesch. "And there are some power-abusing, corrupt monsters in our federal government that despise me because I have the audacity to speak the truth."
Nugent continued: "I spoke at the NRA and will stand by my speech. It's 100 percent positive. It's about we the people taking back our American dream from the corrupt monsters in the federal government under this administration, the communist czars he has appointed."

"Wasserman Schultz is such a brain-dead, soulless idiot," Nugent told Loesch. "I could not be more proud that this soulless, heartless idiot feebly attempts to find fault with Ted Nugent, because I am on the right track and she just encourages me to stand stronger."
Nugent also compared Wasserman Schultz and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to "varmints."

(45,319 posts)to say something really disgusting to up his profile prior to the second rate county fair circuit, Ted's financial wheel house for decades. It is a yearly yammering and it is all to pander to the last remaining audience for his dreck. He's a niche freak show at this point, and without some stirring up the hicks in the sticks he won't sell the tix.
In short, he takes political discourse and process into the gutter for his own further enrichment. It's a shameful marketing tool. And he rolls it out each spring like some groundhog of the right wing nonsense circuit.

ON MILITARY SERVICE
He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days, he ingested nothing but Vienna sausages and Pepsi; and a week before his physical, he stopped using bathrooms altogether, virtually living inside pants caked with his own excrement, stained by his urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment, he says. "... but if I would have gone over there, I'd have been killed, or I'd have killed, or I'd killed all the hippies in the foxholes...I would have killed everybody." - Detroit Free Press Magazine , July 15, 1990

(3,322 posts)is that they get themselves tied into knots over White House Czars - something Reagan also had. They can't get it through their little pea brains that calling the head of a department, commission or office a "czar" does not make them a commie. If that were true then William Bennett - drug czar for Reagan - would be Nugent's enemy.

(17,493 posts)which I have had for 45 years.
I personally feel that the NRA does a lot of good for those who are interested in owning firearms or enjoy the shooting sports which include hunting and target shooting. The organization offers excellent gun and hunter safety courses and provides training to police officers. It also sponsors many shooting competitions for everyone from a novice shooter to expert shooters.
I purchase a yearly membership and I understand that only a very small amount to my membership fee goes to support the political wing of the NRA, the NRA-ILA. I do often receive mailings from this organization and I file them in the trash can unopened.
The NRA does give some Democratic Politicians high ratings and I will admit that I consider a politician's view on gun control before I vote for him/her. One of my local Democratic state representatives has such an "A" rating from the NRA and is proud of it just as I am proud to vote for him. He not only supports firearm rights but is a fine representative who I support on many other issues.
In recent years I find myself more and more upset with the political approach that the NRA has adopted. The NRA support for Ted Nugent really disturbs me as I feel this exemplifies the desire of the organization to be like the more extreme pro gun organizations such as the Gun Owners of America.
The final straw for me may well be when the NRA endorses Mitt Romney for President. In my opinion this rich, shape shifting waffler would do far more damage to the right to keep and bear arms than Obama has done. If anything, Obama has been pro-gun and the NRA refuses to give him any credit.
I understand that DU is a very liberal and progressive forum and many here will feel that I can't possibly be a true liberal if I do not favor draconian gun control. If you fall into that category, I take no offense as you have a right to your opinion. I would merely point out that the Democratic Party is a "big tent." It amazes me that the party that represents the 1% is more in favor of RKBA than the party that represents the 99%. But as I grow older, I find that the positions of the two parties on some issues make less and less sense to me.
(I should note that I come from a long line of Democrats. My father and uncle were unionized steel workers in Pittsburgh and fought for workers rights by often going out on strike. My grandfather worked in the iron mills in Pennsylvania. I grew up in northern Ohio and was called a Communist by an English teacher because I supported Social Security. I had somewhat of a disadvantage as a budding Democrat in schools in rural Ohio populated with the sons and daughters of religious conservative Republicans , but I take pride in the fact that I stood my ground and convinced a few of my fellow students to reconsider the values that they had been taught.)
