(84,711 posts)has had an Interactive US Map where you could click on your State and watch the vote tallies as they start coming in by county and the updating Total Vote for which candidate is ahead at the side bar as the States release their numbers throughout the night.
It's been a very good resource for those of us who don't watch CNN on TV. That's what I've used for the General and Mid-Term election results ever since the 2000 Stolen Election.
You could Search "CNN 2014 Election Results Map" for a more direct link than going through their Website to find it. It should be up starting when the polls close in the East on Tuesday night.

(22,271 posts)I'd just as soon bypass the idiotic commentary of the networks and go straight to the numbers. Thank you.

(84,711 posts)I was searching for the CNN link and found this. I don't know who runs it but it looks like it would have pretty much what CNN does. I see Larry Sabato listed. He's with the UVA Center for Politics which is supposed to be non-partisan so maybe UVA sponsors it.

(146,325 posts)I'll be watching CBS's coverage, since that's the channel that comes in best on my bedroom TV, which is not connected with the cable. Usually, there's less commentary than on the cable news channels, too.
We tend to forget those networks most of the time, but they're still around and still covering elections. You'll also get your local results through the local affiliate that way.

(40,416 posts)Nothing better. There are fast posts as soon as any result comes in. With a couple hundred of thousands of members there are an awful lot of eyes on all the races.
And don't forget the state forums.
DU often goes into emergency mode during election nights. The admins shut off inessential features to preserve performance. It works well.
I recommend DU.

(84,711 posts)DU will be filled with Subject Posts and Depends on Locations and Races important to State.
These DU'ers were asking for National Map where they could check out the Stats without listening to the MSM Garbage.
DU is good for the Wind Up and the or where we dissect it all....and always good for a break when the Stats are coming in just to see what folks are "Feeling" in "our Community," though.
