I blame our spineless Democratic Party House/ Senate members for much of the lackluster momentum. Of course, more is at fault but I expect and need leadership from my Party. Yes, the battles are hard...but geesze...they have no fire in the belly as a whole.

that DO have that fire in the belly. Please give us all a count because I am certain they aren't on the popular invite list.

We all know the answer! Because saying none of them do, is a big fat falsehood. There are tons of democrats working their asses off for months with plenty of fire but they don't have the venues that the Republicans do. Didn't we learn this tons of years ago? Prime example was Bush's Iraq war, please recall that doozy, where the military and opinionators that were pro war were given a free stage to mouth off their false stories and Phil Donahue got fired.

Tell me what knowledge or information do you really get from these whores that you cannot get from reading, and other avenues. I will argue that if ones only source is cable or satellite news, you are more uninformed than those who get their news from the printed media, or other sources, including the internet, where even though the internet can push garbage, with a little effort that garbage can be debunked with very little effort.

There are sources outside of the U.S. MSM television media where you can get a much more balanced look. These include BBC, Bloomberg, and a few others, but the major cable and satellite national news channels are not in the business to inform, but to entertain, which I do not find entertaining

Millions of people, people who pay less attention than us, DO. What they see shapes their understanding of the world, influences their votes and screws everyone.

Think of it as "oppo" research.

industry, they thought they would show everyone how upset they were by voting for Reagan. That didn't work out too well for them I would venture to say, and labor and unions are probably at one of the most vulnerable points in history in the last 50 years because of that.

At least to me it looks like many people don't learn easily. There were no WMDs in Iraq, and we wasted trillions of dollars, and over a million people were killed based on a lie perpetuated by our illustrious media.

In the last 100 years it was the Democrats who gave us social security, medicare, labor laws, OSHA, and so many other protections that many it appears take for granted.

What can you do for people who vote against their own interests?

It is the media that reaps the rewards of obscene campaign spending. The money goes to these networks and they have millions of reasons to turn our political process into the spectacle we are witnessing.

Our media is not independent in any sense of the word. If GE owns all of NBC, and repubs always do their bidding legislatively, why would they NOT bring all their influence to bear?

... once told me that CNN stood for "Clinton News Network". That was about 8 years ago, and I told him then that I didn't think the quip was either funny or true. Today, it's even less true, and further than ever from funny.
