Grimes has impressed me and the Democratic Party is lucky to have her. She is very young, very talented and has a lot of guts. I've seen her take it to Mitch in pretty rough settings where he's sitting right next to her and his supporters are taunting her non-stop for 10-15 minutes. Forget the non-answer on her vote; she's a keeper.

She is a very strong speaker for equal pay. She has a dedicated following. The ones that have heard her speak, at their rallies, will surely be supportive of her with their votes.

But the potential for a leader that can bring people together for the better of the country is a rare find indeed. It just so happens that she is a Democrat. That is a bonus.

I have never seen anyone in my life work as hard as she has worked in her campaign. Even tomorrow, she has about 6 different cities to visit. She has started at the center of Kentucky, (Lexington), and has traveled outward to every county in the state. She has stood nose to nose with Mitch McConnell and she got the best of him. At one event, she chose to stand at a podium and speak to the room and Mitch chose to stay seated and not to stand. And she let him have it with both barrels.

You're right. She's a keeper.

Guts means that she stands and fights for what she believes in.

Guts means that she challenges the racists in her state and runs on the positive things that the Democrats have done for her state.

That's guts!

She's a coward!

I had/have the same reaction to that answer and I wish she had handled it differently, but there's a lot more to her than that. This takes guts:

So what if she disagrees with Obama on some things. So do I. I can't blame her for standing up for the people of Kentucky. That doesn't make her a racist. If she wins, it will probably be the African-American community in Louisville that puts her over? Also, President Obama did not do her any favors with his timing on his environmental carbon limits either. He made it very difficult for her, as if she wasn't having a hard enough time with the coal miners already. Thanks Mr President.

There's an old saying about being known by the company you keep. I see this campaign in Kentucky and I see a young lady that is brave enough to challenge the status quo. I see young women and college students supporting her. I see people in the black community supporting her. I see coal miners supporting her. And I see the CWA communication workers. And they support her enthusiastically. I see the looks on their faces. And I am not going to judge. There is something going on that we have not yet defined but I think it is good for our country? There is a grassroots movement that is in its infancy.

These are the future leaders of our country. They are not as tied to Party labels as they are to justice and equality. They want people to come together. They want solutions to problems. They want to help people and make our country a better place to live. That is what I see in her campaign.
