"The Most Brazen Attempt at Voter Suppression Yet"

The Most Brazen Attempt at Voter Suppression Yet

By Jamelle Bouie at Slate

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2014/10/al_jazeera_america_s_reveals_massive_gop_voter_suppression_effort_millions.html

"SNIP...................

According to a six-month-long investigation conducted by Greg Palast for Al Jazeera, “voting officials in 27 states, almost all of them Republicans, have launched what is threatening to become a massive purge of black, Hispanic, and Asian-American voters. Already, tens of thousands have been removed from voter rolls in battleground states, and the numbers are set to climb.”

Specifically, officials have a master list of 6.9 million suspected “potential double voters.” And in Virginia, Georgia, and Washington the lists are “heavily over-weighted with names such as Jackson, Garcia, Patel, and Kim,” all common to Democratic-leaning minority groups.

The process for checking those names, a computer program called Crosscheck—touted by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, a vocal supporter for voter identification—is incredibly inaccurate. “The actual lists,” notes Al Jazeera America, “show that not only are middle names mismatched, and suffix discrepancies ignored, even conflicting birthdates are disregarded. Moreover, Crosscheck deliberately ignores any Social Security mismatches, in the few instances when the numbers are even collected.”

Given the tight races in Georgia and other battleground states, even a small number of false positives could turn the tide of an election, giving a strong advantage to Republican candidates for statewide and congressional offices.

Apparenty not our "Democratic" WH or the DOJ ...
nor is the presumably "democratic" FEC lifting a finger.

I find that exceedingly odd.

Yet these treasonous rat-bastards get to commit massive election fraud, while
whining about "voter fraud" when what they are doing is 10,000 worse than ANY
actual known "voter fraud".

The use of these bullshit-based databases of "potential double voters" (which in and of itself has no basis, since in-person voter fraud almost never happens - so where did they get the names?) combined with improper matching criteria leads to mass disenfrancisement of REGISTERED VOTERS.

If I have a list of "potential duplicate voters" with the name George Octavius Smith, Jr, but I only make my registered voter purge criteria = George Smith, I'm gonna kick out a lot more people than the one person the list should actually flag.

In other words, mass voter purge accomplished with extreme prejudice, and no consequences, except for all those George Smiths who think they are still registered to vote.

Here's part of the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution:

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States

Where is Eric Lame-duck Holder on this?

This disgusting buggering of the US institutions of democracy has been going on
since SCOTUS handed The Shrub the WH despite the clear will of the electorate.
Mr. Rove & Co have their ways, including manipulating all e-voting in red-leaning
states where there's a GOP Attorney General, like with Mr Blackwell in OH.

Voter suppression, torture, the institutional racism of the police, etc., etc. I know what I'm saying sounds crazy, but think about it. Bundy and his militias can openly oppose the US government. Why is this? Peaceful protestors are treated with violence. Why is this?

Anarchy is not the absence of government, it is a breakdown of propaganda.

The national media won't even report on this blatant voter suppression. No reporter will ask Roberts or Scalia why they couldn't have predicted such a scenario.

Remember this one? They don't even try to hide it now.

"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."

I live in Washington State, we vote by mail. Each county processes their ballots and most offer online verification. Here are two websites from a couple of the most populous counties.

https://info.kingcounty.gov/elections/BallotTracker.aspx

http://www.snoco.org/elections/results/Returned-Ballot.html

If you didn't even get a ballot, talk to your county ASAP. There is still time to cast a provisional ballot.
