90% of Republicans vote Republican out of ethnic solidarity.

The fact that Republicans offer nothing whatsoever of benefit to the average Republican voter is easily over-looked because Republicans do offer to make things worse for somebody else.

It is assumed that the universe is a racial/class/religion/life-style zero-sum game and that anything that harms non-white persons or other outsiders must somehow be good for traditionalist white persons. (In practice, insider/outsider. It isn't all racial but it is all all perceived in-group values in opposition to the other. Gays, single women... anyone outside the frame of the largely imaginary suburban picket-fence dream of normality.)

That's all there is to it.

At which point a list appears, of things that don't make any sense. Because we are all eligible for trouble, all different to each other, all trying to live. It's a polarity that exists inside every human who is broken by life.

It's a form of denial, trying desperately to hang on the sides of the drain and resisting going into an ocean of chaos, shame, loss and humiliation. Like all the ones they hate and fear becoming one day.
