Polls show that your party is on the wrong side of this issue, Mitch. The vast majority of the American people support the "Buffett Rule" and want it passed.

(82,849 posts)Of course the Republicans are deeply concerned with what the American people want. Except when they aren't, you understand. But seeing as how by some strange working of the universe, it is Republicans alone who can discern what the American people want, then clearly the American people don't want to see any so-called "Buffet Rule" imposed on them.
So, as always, the Republicans are once again on the right side of the issue, and it's you beknighted people who have been brainwashed by George Soros who have been deluded into thinking that extracting three more pennies on the dollar for the wealthiest's "earnings" every year is nothing but the most rampant, pernicious soshulizm!

(4,310 posts)Allow me to remind that pompous ass of Obama's words over three years ago...
""This morning, we received a stark reminder about how urgent action is needed," said Obama at a Friday press conference. "Clearly the situation is dire, it is deteriorating and demands urgent and immediate action. For the sake of our economy and our people, this is the moment to act, and act without delay."
Obama, Jan.9,2009
How hard Obama had to fight to get the stimulus plan past to save jobs. NOW he is creating jobs. Maybe
not at the pace that would be ideal, but how soon we forget the fucked up mess bush left (4.4 million jobs
lost his last year in office) and how hard Obama has had to fight these bastards to save this economy.
