Herman Cain Rally at the Capitol Fails Spectacularly

Slate:

Signing up for Herman Cain's "Revolution on the Hill" was easy. There were ads at the top of plenty of conservative news sites. The registration for three events -- a Sunday reception, Monday morning seminar, and Monday afternoon rally -- was free, and included a boxed lunch. Cainiacs had a full hour to get between the Virginia hotel where the seminar would be held and the Capitol lawn where they'd listen to speeches and music. Six free buses were available to move them.

Despite all that, this was the scene after the rally started.

Only 283 people signed up for the indoor seminars, and only 620 signed up for the rally. By my count, less than half of the first number honored their Eventbrite pledges; only a little more than one-third of the rally-goers actually showed up.

And to think this guy was leading the Republican field six months ago...

They laughed at my 999 plan, called me 'Spermin Herman,' and then old yellow stain. *I* was to blame them Rick Perry's incompetence and poor memory. Ah, but the strawberries...THAT'S where I had them. I proved to them with a giant rally and geometric logic that a parallel election campaign could be run!

The teapers are a fickle lot.

They gave their black guy a top position.
They gave their woman a chance.
They let the delusional senior crawl to the top.
The Texas nut even got to sit on their thrown.

They're equal opportunity ADHD loons. Herman is day old pizza, which we all know is only attractive to stoners.

I think not.
They've got plenty of unrestrained anger, xenophobia, and irrational fear to be exploited.
But if Dick Armey isn't organizing the bus rides to Washington with Koch bros. money, it's pretty hard to get them to stop polishing their guns and get off the couch.

Anyone can use content fill on Photoshop if they are of the mind to mislead, lie, etc., which is what hannity and others of their ilk must resort to doing because they're on the losing side of this.

and btw: those images are on the internet already and available at any time to anyone with nefarious intent, and they were provided by those who uploaded them, not by me. dont' get it twisted.

The price was having to listen to Herman Cain.

....see, with a boxed lunch, you can hand it out on the bus or at the hotel. With pizza, you'd have to have tables at the rally, and the lines of people waiting to pick up an individual slice, napkin, toppings, etc would run...at least 2 minutes.
