in this video by FCKH8.com, little girls dressed up as princesses explain how unfair the world is to women with a crapload of words far worse than crapload.
For example, choice phrases include Im not some pretty fucking hopeless princess in distress!, Pay up, motherfucker!, and Start teaching boys not to fucking rape! Yes, these little girls also talk about rape, as well as how society judges womens looks and pay equality.
The girls ask, What is more offensive: a little girl saying f*ck or the fucking unequal sexist way society treats girls and women?
The original video was removed from FCKH8?s Vimeo page, but a new, identical version went up Wednesday afternoon: http://www.mediaite.com/online/little-girls-unleash-a-torrent-of-profanity-in-f-bombs-for-feminism/

(111,339 posts)My dad, dealing with an automatic stoker hung up on a clinker at 2 AM, back in the bad old days when houses were heated with coal.
I expanded it when I worked with a road crew doing concerts in the 60s.
I refined it to its present paint peeling state working with the foulest mouthed women on the face of the planet, nurses.
Now I don't honestly feel a need to let fly unless the provocation is intense. I inspire far more than I use.
However, I did once make a longshoreman blush.

(503 posts)Both things are disgusting. Sexism is wrong but so is this ad. How is it sexist to be turned off by the sight of children, of any gender, swearing like sailors?
This ad is horrendously misguided and is going to turn a lot of mainstream women off from feminism. It actually comes off as exploitative of the kids. It's not so much think of the children as think of the message. If you're not preaching to the choir, you're going to have to soften your approach rather than make people sick. I mean seriously, is that what they want feminism to be associated with, little kids spouting off the F-word? Gee, why not have a NORML ad feature kids smoking pot? How about a MADD ad with kids getting drunk? We've already got the NRA exploiting the tragedy of the little girl who shot her shooting instructor, do leftist causes really want to stoop to their level in order to get support?
These ad campaigns always fail because of too much shock value and minimal focus on issues. Like Lena Dunham comparing her first time voting to her first time having sex. Feminism needs to have class in order to succeed. This video doesn't have class. It's crass.

This is way too close to "Be polite and ladylike." Just saying.

(27,310 posts)that is exploiting children to sell T-shirts which, supposedly they will kick back a bit of the profits to... well, we don't know because they don't say.
They also don't say where their other donations go on the sales of their other products. Only that they do donate. Okey-doke.

(27,310 posts)they are not transparent about it.
My own daughter at age 6, held some very strong feminist views and at age 8, stronger still and better able to express them intelligently and coherently. (6-8 is the age range of the girls in the video.)
Likely, I could have made a video of her, using her own voice... expressing her own unscripted views... and encouraged her to throw a few fucks and motherfuckers into her sentences, I think she would have enjoyed that.
But this feminist know that is not what is going on here.
