How bad is Obama derangement syndrome? It's bad... really bad.

I recently re-tweeted this from Michelle Obama: "Every mother works hard, and every woman deserves to be respected." It seemed pretty straightforward -- something most people would agree with. Yet some right-wing blogger made a point of attacking me in very personal terms, for re-tweeting that.

On its own, the statement would have been non-controversial. But attach it Michelle Obama and the phrase becomes something that certain people feel obligated to oppose. If one of the Obamas said "the sky is blue," somebody would probably attack that as well.

really was bankrupting the country and giving tax breaks to those who don't need them. The "Obama dreangement syndrome" is about how Obama is a secret muslim, how Obama is doing things that freepers think will hurt the country like health care that actually works. The freepers are totally deluded....that makes it a derangement syndrome. It was right to be afraid when Bush was in power. Look at what deregulation did to the banks and the country. So it was not deranged.

Michelle Obama says or does. Taking up the cause to fight childhood obesity becomes "She wants to take your cookies away" or some draconian plot to force us all into some government mandated meal plan that will make us all weak and suseptible to relinquishing our guns.

If she says it, they will spew.

Have Michelle Obama publicly express that playing in traffic is a terrible idea.

The problem should solve itself, although traffic will be a mess.

The righties now live in a complete fantasy world constructed out of their own fears. They tried to claim that criticism of Bush was "Bush Derangement Syndrome" in an attempt to cut off the valid criticisms of him but Obama Derangement Syndrome is real and it's spreading. It doesn't matter what he does, only that he has a (D) after his name.

They have no idea why they hate him - just that he's a Democrat. Another reason to hate Facebook. These people never would say half the things they write on Facebook to your face.

he's President, he's Black, he's an honourable and thoughtful man and he's always the smartest guy in the room.

it drives them absolutely crazy that their superiority complexes have been so challenged.
