I give up.... of all the brilliant minds we have in this country, he chooses a fucking political lawyer. Why not make a pastry chef the next head of NASA?

But this is Ebola we're talking about...
APPOINT A FUCKING MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL.
I just read a thread where we criticize Ohio Gov. Kasich for ousting a doctor from a state public health position and replacing him with a Republican lawyer hack.
Well, now we just invited the same type of criticism from the GOPassholes. God... What is Obama thinking on this one?

Arbitrarily appointing a medical expert to a position where management experience is needed would be dumb.
This is actually an intelligent move.

(449 posts)Chief of Staff is more about manipulating political relationships than actually managing. At least the new VA appointee had experience managing Proctor & Gamble.
I believe the best managers are ones with technical expertise in the field they manage. That's why the best CEOs of major hospital systems are almost always MD/DO or at least have a Masters in Public Health.
Ron Klain has minimal technical expertise in health care. I do not consider lobbying for Big-Pharma sufficient medical experience for the position of Ebola Czar.
And my sentiment is NOT driven by fear whatsoever. I live in an area of Ohio that has experienced its own Ebola scare, due to the second nurse getting infected. And I"m still going to work, not panicking.
