So no, they shouldn't be left alone.

Junior Biden getting discharged from the Navy and then getting a cush director job at a Ukraine fracking company should be front page news and everyone should talk about it. So maybe these insane drug policies can be purged from the books.

Joe Biden's Awful Record on Drug Policy

...from a policy perspective, it’s a disaster. Biden has sponsored more damaging drug war legislation than any Democrat in Congress. Hate the way federal prosecutors use RICO laws to take aim at drug offenders? Thank Biden. How about the abomination that is federal asset forfeiture laws? Thank Biden. Think federal prosecutors have too much power in drug cases? Thank Biden. Think the title of a “Drug Czar” is sanctimonious and silly? Thank Biden, who helped create the position (and still considers it an accomplishment worth boasting about).

Tired of the ridiculous steroids hearings in Congress? thank Biden, who led the effort to make steroids a Schedule 3 drug, and has been among the blowhardiest of the blowhards when it comes to sports and performance enhancing drugs. Biden voted in favor of using international development aid for drug control (think plan Columbia, plan Afghanistan, and other meddling anti-drug efforts that have only fostered loathing of America, backlash, and unintended consequences). Oh, and he was also the chief sponsor of 2004’s horrendous RAVE Act...

Smoked a joint in the audience, a felon.

my biggest problem with biden has always been his enthusiastic status as drug warrior. Maybe now he'll rethink the policies which cause our nation to fill prison cells with people for pot smoking.

These puritanical laws are a travesty of justice and an affront to science.

Somehow, those who pass them find ways to circumvent them - and expect on our complacency.

The rank hypocrisy "on this issue" is stunning to say the least. In fact, it's downright despicable when you think of the thousands of families destroyed by Biden's War On Drugs, yet his own son is given a cushy position with a fracking company, just months after he's busted and kicked out of the Navy for cocaine use. This is such a stark example of the two-tiered system we constantly rail against. Why should Democrats ignore it in their own party leadership?

It's about power and privilege whether it's Dems or Repubs. If this were Mitt Romney's Son it would be huge news about Bain Capitol Boy's privilege...

As far as we know, Biden isn't wealthy but he's used power and influence to help his son along (or, his son took advantage of power and privilege and used it on his own) and if the son were black or poor and had to be discharged from the Navy (which was a special exemption job because of prior cocaine use when he was younger) he could be in jail and who his dealer was would be investigated.

Instead Hunter gets a job in the WH after Biden's election and then joins an Investment Firm as Board member that gets a contract for drilling in Ukraine after the Govt. was toppled and the new unelected one signs a deal with European Union. Also John Kerry's Stepson is involved in the deal and this all happens after the Coup in Ukraine and Biden's speech there.

It looks like "crony capitalism" and VP Biden should have know this would come out about the discharge and told his son not to take the job on the Board of a company that is going to be drilling in Ukraine after their Govt. was overthrown because it would look very bad for him and his father politically given we've put sanctions on Russia because of the Ukraine situation but Biden's son lands cushy job and profits.

Sad to see this...but, it's not something we should sweep under the table when we would be all over it 24/7 if it was Romney's son or son of another leading Political Figure who was a Repub.

14. Bush drummed out of TANG with James R Bath for some strange reason.

Oct 2014

The short version: Back in the day when George W was defendin' Texas from the Air Force of North Vietnam, he met a man by the name of James R Bath. They both were drummed off the flight line for failing to take physical exams -- coincidentally, no doubt, right about the same time the government starting testing pilots for illegal drugs 'n' such. Note how the Bush White House redacted a proper noun here and a proper noun there. Here're two versions of the document:

Now this document shows that the House of bin Laden selected James R Bath to be their official U.S. business agent.

The press will be on top of Biden's kid until Jan. 20, 2017. The press never touched Bush, even when evidence of treason was there.

And it just shows to go you. Joe's been all in favor of destroying others for minor drug use and has been for his entire career.
