Signs of classic fatuity: The inability to distinguish between criticism and blame.

Blame is “to accuse of being at fault; condemn (for something); censure, or the act of blaming; accusation; condemnation; censure”.

Criticism is “the act of making judgments; analysis of qualities and evaluation of comparative worth; esp., the critical consideration and judgment of literary or artistic work, or A critical comment or judgment.”

If you criticize someone, you’re saying that you disapprove of them or their actions. But if you blame somebody for something then you’re saying that they’re responsible for something bad, it’s their fault.
