Police Captain In Louisiana Gets Away With Drunk Driving Hit And Run

Here's The Link

Police Captain says sorry, and gets a simple ticket for a crime that would've put anyone else in jail. Oh, wait, they can't ticket her because they found a loophole in the law. I'm SHOCKED
She also received a lateral transfer. OH THE HORROR

Knocks on Vizena's door at the time of the accident were not answered.

Boudreaux said he did speak with Vizena later in the morning, but that was hours after the 2 a.m. incident, so a sobriety test was not possible.

Still, he said that Vizena told him she had been drinking that night at local night spot with friends.

"She apologized for her actions and said she knows she was wrong to have been driving while intoxicated," Boudreaux said.

As for the ticket that was issued to Vizena, he said his investigation has plenty of evidence and probable cause to support the reckless driving charge.

"I feel the case was handled properly according to the law and we handled it the same as we would have for anyone," Boudreaux said.

"And like anyone else, Vizena is innocent until proven guilty," Boudreaux said.

In the sheriff's defense, Boudreaux said there was no interference with his department's investigation.
