(19,339 posts)"Jesus wept" is often used in such a way. That's breaking a commandment, just like killing or lying.

(2,741 posts)spoke for himself...if being homosexual is immoral, why didn't Jesus instruct his followers about this sin?
Perhaps Huck should take time to read Thomas Jefferson's version of the bible? Sorry, should have remembered that those who shout loudest about things in the bible, know little or nothing about what is in the bible.

(6,336 posts)Hilarious. He's picked on Fuckabee before, but he's picked on a lot of whiny Justin Bieber fans who pray to Jesus that they meet the Biebs.
I'm not on Twitter anymore but I do read the feed every now and then for a good laugh.

(11,257 posts)1. Jesus is actually speaking through a right-wing former-governor-turned-Fox News-carnival-barker.
2. The owner of that Twitter account was really Jesus.
I vote for #2.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for Obama to do something that people won't bitch about.

(50,983 posts)Did Jesus ever even mention gay marriage? I do not believe he addressed that particular issue. I don't think he said anything about abortion either.

(359 posts)As a Christian, I follow Christ's teachings regarding gay people.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
I have read the new testament several times, have yet to find the part when Jesus adds 'except for them gays"
O well, as a Christian, I am bound to love every one....even Huckabee. lol

(8,964 posts)He had more important things to consider than gay-bashing. Many of those that claim to worship Christ do not follow him and more often than not misrepresent his teachings, or overlook them altogether. Huckabee can cry all he wants over his favorite distracting wedge issues and pontificate on what he considers to be "values", but he may also wish to consider that keeping the poor poor has never been a Christian value.
