Sabotage.

Sabotage is a deliberate action aimed at weakening a polity or corporation through subversion, obstruction, disruption, or destruction. In a workplace setting, sabotage is the conscious withdrawal of efficiency generally directed at causing some change in workplace conditions

That is what the GOP has been up to in the last 6 years.

Look at the Bush administration, their drive to undermine our system of government (3 branches of equal power with checks & balances) & create an imperial presidency, an executive branch that's more powerful than the others. Their suspension of habeas corpus, asserting the right to imprison American citizens indefinitely with no charges & no right to a trial ... if that's not sabotage of our Constitution & justice system then I don't know what is.

I'm convinced that Republicans are still working to create an imperial presidency, to make the executive branch more powerful than the legislative branch. It seems so obvious if you understand the process they started under Bush. That's why the Republicans in Congress are doing practically nothing & saying the president should do things on his own, or basically forcing him to do things on his own. It's all part of transferring more & more power to the executive branch, which they will wield with devastating abandon if (or in their minds *when*) they win the presidency.
