Texas health officials monitor possible second Ebola case

Ebola may have already spread on U.S. soil.

America’s first Ebola patient may have infected a second patient, health officials said Wednesday.

About four days passed between when “patient zero” fell ill and when he was isolated in Dallas — and he was even sent home from the hospital once after doctors didn’t ask him about his travel history, sources told CNN.

When the man came back two days later, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital staff realized he had the African disease and quarantined him.

On Wednesday, the man was listed in serious condition.

But it may have been too late: Texas health officials are now monitoring a possible second Ebola patient.
