DCCC, I知 pleading with you.

This guy says it all...

DCCC, I’m pleading with you.

I tweeted you, forwarded your emails to our industry lists, and now I’M BEGGING YOU, to start treating your subscribers with some respect.

I care a lot about online marketing generally, and online political campaigns specifically. And, until this weekend, I’ve been a pretty staunch defender of the team — and still have nothing but respect for how far they’ve pushed the industry forward.

A big part of my respect comes from the results. There’s no question that this is an historically successful program. While we don’t have a proper breakdown, the DCCC outraised its GOP counterpart by $41,OOO,OOO in small donations. And the cycle ain’t even over yet.

But, I am starting to think a part of that success is due to cheating.

... I realized that my money going there would be sent down a rat hole and spent on candidates many of which I couldn't support and held back from candidates that I would support. I haven't sent money to the DCCC in years, and don't plan to any time soon.

Even organizations like PDA, etc. are a better investment from my standpoint. Given that my last day on a contract job is this Friday, I've got no money for anyone this week, no matter how many "deadline is approaching" fundraising emails I get sent now.

I have direct contacts at most of the campaigns and Committees I deal with, and if they want to let me know about special needs or fundraising events, they can contact me directly. The boilerplate ads I have no time for.
