to call shots hitting the truman balcony, and a nut who would have made it to the family quarters if he hadnt missed the turn anything but assassination attempts is just bullshit.

BULL.SHIT.

I thought Obama haters belonged on the freeper/Pox/breitbart sites...

I'm sorry to say this but they remind me of my late mother. God rest her soul in peace with the angels! But NOTHING I DID was ever good enough. NOT EVER. Mainly because I was fat and didn't care that much about my appearance when I was younger. NOTHING I DID was ever good enough for her. I got straight A's. ALWAYS made the honor roll. NEVER got in trouble. NEVER dated some asshole they had reason to hate or distrust. NEVER drank or smoked cigarettes - OR pot. NEVER ditched school. NEVER got arrested or stayed out all night or made them worry or ran around with a bad crowd or ANYTHING. Nevertheless, she would ALWAYS find fault. Of course I was not perfect, so she was able to find a LOT to criticize. And she did, with relish. She insisted on perfect while the best I could come up with was merely good - NEVER enough to get close to satisfying her. And later on when I'd grown up and moved out, graduated college with good grades, started my career, and found a good guy with whom I set up a stable marriage, AND lost weight, too, she STILL was able to find fault. She still criticized me - til the very end. Even literally almost on her deathbed (about a year before she passed), she still made it clear to me that she didn't, couldn't, and WOULDN'T EVER accept me just as I am. She was world-class in that particular "talent."

As I write this, I realize this is probably what leads me to post all the stuff I've posted in the past either defending support for Obama or support for Hillary or SOMEONE/SOMETHING that has an actual chance to win, rather than the pure and perfect that only the connoisseurs and perfectionists among us find worthy and for whom/for which they resolutely hold out, either to "send a message" or prove some "point".

I swear, mopinko, sometimes I just wanna grab some of 'em and shake 'em and say "GET YER HEADS OUT OF THE CLOUDS!!!!! AND DOWN HERE WITH YER FEET ON THE GROUND WITH THE REST OF US!!!!!

And GRANTED, the ground IS dirty and so are our feet. And when we stumble, we stub our dirty toes, but we can still slog along and maybe still, actually, have a chance to get somewhere and accomplish SOMETHING. But when you're up there in the idealistic perfection-only clouds and you stumble, you crash thousands of feet down to earth and burn to a crisp and you WON'T be able to "slog along and maybe still, actually, have a chance" to get ANYWHERE 'cause you'll be fucking DEAD.

I appreciate some of the motives of the idealists and those who just have to have it perfect. But sometimes you've just simply gotta be PRACTICAL!!!!

Of course, you don't have to answer.

When people are upset that the President could have been in danger and want a clean slate, that's understandable to anyone with feelings. There were so many instances and so many SS that Knew about these lacks in security - what kind of popsicle stand were they running? Were they being paid to be slackers, were some of them bigoted fucks and flew under the radar when applying? Was this a second job for some where the first was working for some behemoth rich shit that was testing the waters of security? A whole lot of people were involved in this and if an SS person takes their jobs so lightly they should get their pimply ass fired on the spot and further investigations should be done as to who else knew what and did what when.

And I don't care in the least of your opinion on my opinion.

this is not one or 2 lapses. this is a STRING. of the sort that, were it looked at in light of a dead president, would, i believe, have profound repercussions, none of them good.

Wouldn't that be her boss, the Director of Fatherland Security? And who does the Director work for? Isn't that the President?

So why is she still there? Why in light of all this, has there been no shakeup in the Secret Service?

There is only one person with the ability to change this situation and that is President Obama. You can't blame Boner, McConnell, McCaingraham, Palin, Fox News, Cheney or anyone else for the fact that this incompetent hack still has a job.

When you post FIRE HER ASS here, you're preaching to the choir. The person who needs to hear that, is the President. I don't think he likes to fire people but why he wouldn't act in this case is ridiculous. If it makes you feel better I will volunteer to do the President's job for him and fire her, but somehow I doubt that it will stick.

45. The 11 Worst White House Breaches of All Time.
Wed Oct 1, 2014, 02:05 PM
Oct 2014
Here's a look back at some of the most egregious breaches at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue:

1. July 1976: Chester Plummer Armed with a 3-foot-long metal pipe, Chester Plummer, 30, climbed the 8t-foot fence and advanced toward the White House in July 1976.After reportedly menacing a Secret Security agent, he was shot in the chest and died 90 minutes later.

2. October 1978: Anthony Henry Dressed in a white karate uniform, Anthony Henry, 35, scaled the fence and charged the North Portico in an attempt to convince President Carter to remove the phrase "in God we trust" from U.S. currency. When officers approached, Henry adopted a karate stance and whipped a knife out of the bible he was carrying. He slashed one officer in the face and another in the arm before being wrestled to the ground.

4. January 1985: Robert LattaJust a few hours before President Ronald Reagan's second inauguration in 1985, Robert Latta, 45, sauntered into the White House with the Marine Corps band and wandered around for about 15 minutes before being apprehended by Secret Service."I just walked in with the band," he told the Associated Press. "I was just going in to see the ceremony."

5. September 1994: Frank Eugene CorderIn September 1994, during President Clinton's first term, former Army mechanic Frank Eugene Corder allegedly stole a single-engine Cessna airplane and crashed it on the South Lawn. The plane skidded across the lawn and slammed into a wall just below the presidential bedroom. Corder, reportedly intoxicated at the time, was the sole fatality.6. October 1994: Francisco Martin Duran About a month later, Francisco Martin Duran, 26, pulled a rifle from under his trench coat and opened fire, unleashing at least 29 rounds at the White House, where President Clinton was watching football. When he stopped to reload, passersby managed to tackle and subdue him.Duran later claimed he was attempting to save the world from an alien "mist." He was convicted of attempted assassination and sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Young soldiers who aren't bent in either direction. That have been vetted, and really want the job. They should have no family and live on site like a barracks. Serve 2 years, and quit if you want, or continue on. All you think about ALL day is protecting the President. No texting while on the job of ANY kind unless it's job related. It should pay well for your sacrifice away from family except maybe 4 weeks vacation a year.
