The Rude Pundit - In Brief: A Few Things You're Thinking (in Convenient List Form)

1. How much you wanna bet that there are members of the Secret Service who want Barack Obama dead?

2. Khorasan Group? Yeah, right. Prove it.

3. Any motherfucking politician or pundit who had no problem with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales needs to shut their lying whore mouth about resigning AG Eric Holder. But if you thought Gonzales was a cockknob, then, fine, have at Eric "Prosecute a Banker? Me?" Holder.

4. Yeah, well, shit, Bridgegate probably was something but those creepy Christie cronies made sure they protected their boss like he was a Sicilian godfather in the wrong pasta joint. So fuck us all for being hopeful that it would do the governor in.
4a. Don't fret, though. There's a ton of other shit that'll sink Christie before his sausage-greased fingers ever touch the presidency.

5. This sense of a forced march to the Hillary Clinton nomination is what Republicans must have felt in 2008 when it was McCain's "turn." (Yeah, yeah, shut the fuck up. We'll all vote for her.)

6. When Ebola is gonna make us all shit out our organs, why should we worry about ISIS?

7. It's impossible to get rid of that sinking feeling that we've created an untenable, almost wholly unregulated capitalist system that is going to collapse on itself if it doesn't end up killing us through poison, climate change, or sleeping semi-drivers.

8. It's like playing a game of 3-card monte with the Devil in Hell. You know you're gonna lose, but what the fuck else is there to do?

I've seen quite a few posters over the months state that they will not vote for Hillary, even if she becomes the nominee. Whether that is bluffing bravado that will evaporate in November 2016, as they contemplate the possibility of a Republican Presidential victory or not, I have no clue.

Either way, if Rude Pundit would rather not have her be the nominee, would rather see a vigorous, authentic primary, what does the Rude Pundit gain by assuring people, two years out, no less, that the Rude Pundit will vote for her, no matter what?

What does anyone who really wants a democratic Democratic primary gain from giving those kinds of assurances so far ahead of even the start of the primary?

The SCOTUS declared loyalty oaths unconstitutional. And that was loyalty to your country, not just your party or just Hillary.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025591190#post6

I strongly recommend leaving the damned loyalty oaths to Joe McCarthy and Grover Norquist.

Bang your flatware on the table and demand a democratic Democratic primary. If the Super Delegates are going to overrule us, at least make them do it openly, not simply by finessing us.

Although he hasn't seemed to have done much about it yet, President Obama is right, it's time for change.

I will vote for her. Same goes for any other Democrat.
I've found that if one doesn't vote, republicans win; if one votes third party, republicans win; and if one votes republican, guess what happens.
So, since Democrats have my best interests at heart, they have my vote regardless of who the nominee is.

but it doesn't really matter how any individual in a red or blue state votes, since those votes are already decided. Of course, something interesting could potentially happen to make a state "switch sides."

so I can vote my conscious without "helping the Republicans".

Just to get away from all the republican lies and obfuscation, I take my vacations in hell. You know, where most if not all will end up. I even take time for suggestions to the devil himself, as to make it particularly nasty for them when their time comes. Republicans, the party that represents hell!

I have to get up in the morning, keep getting stuff accomplished, and keep on hoping some how it will all work out as past troubles have.

Then there are other days when I think the world is too fu**ed too fix, but like he said what the hell else have you got to do? What the hell else can you do but keep trying?

I foresee America collapsing under the weight of unregulated GREEDY corporations who need endless war. The Koch-suckers are winning because Democratic politicians won't break away from the GREEDY BASTARDS who fund them and speak truth to voters. Approximately 40% of registered voters will flock to the polls to decide which party controls the Senate. If the Koch-suckers control the Senate, America's demise will come quicker than expected. Democrats, through their miserable campaigning, present themselves as Republican-lite. Why would a voter chose one of them when they can pick a real right-wing prick? Will the Democrats grow a spine in the next week or so? Perhaps they can begin to attack Republicans as they should have been doing all along. It is very simple to point out why Republican "policies" are anathema to the people, but Democrats don't seem to want to do that. The fellow Braley is losing his ass because he will not beat Ernst over the head with her own words. Is he spineless or just another sell-out to the Oligarchy? Democrats can blame only themselves if they lose races to the most criminally pathetic party in history...modern Republicans.
