You are wrong, Chris Hayes. You are dead wrong.

Apparently Levar Jones, the unarmed man who was gunned down by a South Carolina cop, was handcuffed to his hospital gurney until midnight. By that point, it was clearly obvious to anyone with half a brain that he did nothing wrong and the cop was totally out of control.

Chris Hayes said it was unbelievable that Levar Jones remained handcuffed for hours after the incident.

Wrong.

It's totally believable.

He's black.

Although Chris did say that it was unbelievable that he remained handcuffed. If Chris read my post, I'm sure he'd agree with the fact it's actually very believable.

The real point of my post is the fact that it's open season on black people in America. The only excuse the cops need for shooting unarmed blacks is that they feared for their lives.

Is that once again we have a police report that has no semblance to what the camera shows. It is another nail in the coffin of police as trusted witnesses when no camera is around. It is about the culture of corruption that permeates law enforcement.

Another thing that caught my eye was the background where the police officer was shooting. There could easily have been collateral damage from the stray bullets.

this way. I get that you didn't mean it. Saying what we mean is pretty important, though...

Chris Hayes meant. He obviously didn't mean that it was literally unbelievable. He meant that it shocked the conscience, that it was a serious transgression. You know, or should know, that when someone utters an exclamatory "unbelievable" that they don't generally mean "not to be believed".

Here ends my little lecture on language and context.

but it comes across as misleadingly trashing Hayes. You should probably edit your OP to make explicit that Hayes was shocked by the incident and not actively disbelieving it.

Here's the video, for anyone who is confused:
