Robin Williams' daughter Zelda has thanked fans for their support in the aftermath of her father's death, revealing she was inundated with letters of condolence from members of the public.

Williams took a break from Twitter.com shortly after her father passed away last month (Aug14) and she returned to the microblogging site at the start of September (14). She took to Twitter on Tuesday (23Sep14) to express her thanks to all the strangers who offered her comfort during her darkest times, writing, "I just want to say thank you for all the stories and letters I've been receiving, especially from those who've also lost loved ones. I don't come online often, but reading of others who have dealt with this loss & gone on to live happy, full lives is helpful. Truly."

After the touching words, she signed off by re-tweeting a picture of the Good Will Hunting star laughing during an appearance on children's TV show Sesame Street.

1. She's such a lovely woman. My heart breaks for this family.

I've been watching Mork & Mindy episodes on YouTube for about a month now. Saw so many of his films. It's a great loss to all of us but most of all to his beautiful daughter and the rest of his family. So damn sad.
