Keep in mind, I wrote my reply earlier this morning thinking that the talk shows would talk about it. I was wrong.

I went to NYC a few months ago on a photography trip and one of the locations was the Ground Zero monument. In order to get in there you have to go through security. I happen to keep a small Leatherman on my keychain, which includes a knife 'cause, you know, it's a multi-tool. I told them up front that I had that but had forgotten that I had a 2" bladed folding knife in my backpack and a larger multi-tool, with another knife blade. There was some big hoopla surrounding that--why was I carrying three knives? I honestly had forgotten about the two in my backpack... but it made me look like a mad woman walking around with, what were essentially, three knives (if the eyes of security).

The point being, if this guy was carrying a pocket knife, which this is what it sounds like, some don't consider those weapons... I could still hurt someone with any of my knives but I don't know the SS would consider these "weapons" in the traditional sense--even though security at Ground Zero thought I was packed full of weapons.

And a larger (but still a pocket type) one in my car.

They come in handy for all the dastardly plastic packaging that everything is tucked into these days.

A guy with a knife jumps a fence and runs.
He gets to the door and they stopped him.
They were aware of his presence from the start.
So what?
A normal day in America.

It's NOT a big story, and it IS all over the place.
Top story on Google News right now...

Shit like this seems to happen whenever a Democrat is President.
