Is the MSM now "Videodrome"?

Set in Toronto in the early 1980s, it follows the CEO of a small television station who discovers a broadcast signal featuring extreme violence and torture. Layers of deception unfold as he uncovers the signal's source and loses touch with reality in a series of increasingly bizarre and violent hallucinations.

Am I the only one who got deja vu from the ISIS hostage videos? (I didn't watch them but heard some of the audio and saw the stills).

I just had the feeling I'd seen this stuff before in a David Cronenberg movie. I've just remembered the title was "Videodrome".

My memory of the movie is kind of hazy, but it is quite a confusing and disturbing movie, like watching a nightmare.

Did anyone else get that feeling?
