I came to DU as a member of CASE (Citizens' Alliance for Secure Elections) Ohio after the 2004 election to draw attention to what occurred on election day, Nov 2, 2004 in Ohio. Many of you who were here back then will remember our fiery co-founder, Susan Truitt, who along with attorneys Bob Fitrakis and Cliff Arnebeck attempted to bring a suit calling for a full investigation and contesting the results of the election. Today, the world lost a tireless advocate of fair elections. I am sorry to say that my friend, Susan Truitt lost her battle with cancer earlier today. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. Please send good thoughts her way and remember how she worked hard to make this world a better place.

(34,390 posts)best friends. It's good to see he hasn't lost any of his fire. Again, that is sad news, mod mom.

(13,685 posts)She waged a battle for our elections that no one should have had to do. Many were called and few responded. She was a real Patriot. I did not know her but knew of the actions she was involved with.
Thanks, Susan, May you rest in Peace with my heartfelt respect for your efforts working for our rights for free and fair elections.

Susan Truitt's passing is a sad loss. R.I.P.
