The Freepers and ESPNers and many others, including a few people here have defended the actions of this man as proper child-rearing, or at least not intentional abuse.

But most of the people who are willing to spank their kids to that extreme, usually for religious reasons, are also rabid anti-abortion activists.

Explained for you?
