Adrian Peterson investigated for abuse against another child

SNIP

Today, Vikings owners announced Peterson will be playing this Sunday.

Now, just hours after that shocking decision, reports are coming in that Peterson has been investigated for abusing another of his children, a son who is also four years old.

Peterson has several children -- he has never publicly stated how many, but it is believed he has fathered between five and seven children. He married for the first time earlier this year.

The Atlantic Wire, among others including TMZ, points to a report by KHOU:

On Monday evening, however, KHOU, the local CBS affiliate in Houston, Texas reported that Peterson may be implicated in a second domestic abuse incident. According to their report, Peterson was investigated by Child Protective Services in another incident involving another one of his sons, who is also four-years-old. The network displayed text messages between Peterson and the child's mother in which the mother questioned a scar that appeared on their son. She asked what Peterson hit the young boy with, and Peterson neglected to reply, but made it clear that he punished the child because he was cursing at a sibling. One of the messages from Peterson reads: "Be still n take ya whooping he would have saved the scare (scar). He aight (all right)"

CBS also obtained an image of the child with Band-Aids covering a wound. Other pictures taken later show a scar over the boy's eye. No charges were filed and it's unclear how the CPS case was resolved.

Sadist . A special room probably deep in the house or insulated so no one hears his kids scream and cry.

According to police reports, the child, however, had a slightly different story, telling authorities that “Daddy Peterson hit me on my face.” The child also expressed worry that Peterson would punch him in the face if the child reported the incident to authorities. He also said that he had been hit by a belt and that “there are a lot of belts in Daddy’s closet.” He added that Peterson put leaves in his mouth when he was being hit with the switch while his pants were down. The child told his mother that Peterson “likes belts and switches” and “has a whooping room.”

Toward the end of the interview, Peterson said he would reconsider using switches in the future, but said he would never “eliminate whooping my kids . . . because I know how being spanked has helped me in my life.”

Old school from 50 years ago, and continues is many religious right families and among Southern Baptists in the black culture. We've evolved generally in society, not everyone has though.now A judge or a jury can figure out if this was criminal or not.

Meantime the Vikings are white washing and reinstated Peterson to play, guess they didn't play well enough yesterday. The NFL is owned by a bunch of schmucks IMO.
