Senator John McCain is pictured here meeting with the head of ISIL a little over a year ago. Also present was Mohammad Nour, a spokesman for the Northern Storm Brigade (of the Al-Nosra Front, that is to say, al-Qaeda in Syria). We were arming these jackasses a year ago when they were the Syrian opposition. Ask yourselves why the mainstream media isn't sharing this information. Is this not more important than Kanye's migraine?

My personal opinion, politics aside, is that McC is an old man who has lost a few marbles due to age and the intent here is not to bash him. I simply don't understand why our scandal-loving media hasn't covered this. I think it's important to consider the ramifications of our past, present and future actions as we sort out our place in this 1400 year old middle-eastern conflict. WTH is going on here?

that identifies the man in the picture with McSenile as Baghdadi. And even then, that doesn't prove anything, because Johnny Mac is a clueless man who wanders around muttering at people and needs aides to give him his pudding at 3 pm. Anyone can photobomb a gathering, he wouldn't know who was who.

everyone who is in the photo from a reliable news source, just blogs. It's not a defense of McCain to acknowledge that he probably has no idea who the fuck is who over there, and they could tell him anything. He hired Elizabeth O'Bagy even after her creds were proven fraudulent, and she was supposed to be the expert on identifying who the "good" rebels were.

the thing is this is patently absurd to anyone with any knowledge of the players- and no it's not the now dead spokesman for ISIS either- doesn't even really look like him.

Here's the thing: Allying with the FSA is bad news. It doesn't need to be tarted up with false claims. I've posted several ops about so-called "moderate" Syrian opposition groups in the past couple of days, with links to excellent pieces and analysis.
