The Palin clan apparently had quite an eventful weekend.

Wonkette picked up unconfirmed reports from local bloggers about a snowmobile party Saturday night in Anchorage, Alaska, where attendees said some of the members of the Palin family allegedly jumped into a fistfight. Police later confirmed that members of the Palin family were indeed present at the rowdy party.

It was the videos that got the football league et al in trouble. We need videos of the Palin brawl to get the public's attention. It seems the party goers are being intimidated from talking to the media or so the rumor mill says. There are videos. There has to be. On the radio today, it was said that TMZ needs to turn Anchorage inside out to find those videos.

It seems Sarah got caught in a lie already. she twittered she wasn't there but at some other venue. A police officer twittered back that he saw her there, so she erased her twitter. Information is coming out and this isn't going away.

Of course the comedians are grabbing this for comedy gold. It won't go away.

When a group in society is dominant, it imposes its normative standards on the rest of society. A "white community" separate from the primary institutions in American society would be pointless and redundant-unless you are a vicious, resentful white supremacist with an inferiority complex, of course.

The theoretically "colorblind" or "value-neutral" view of power relations in American society is-in practice-a white view of society. People of color are constantly experiencing the effects of their racial category on them; not so for white people. No one calls George Washington "the first white President." And riddle me this: why did it take over 200 years for America to elect ONE black President?

There are plenty of other examples, as well. These are just a few that came to mind.

Women rarely ever stick together on anything. There are always a hefty percentage of women who think like the woman in that video. You'll know which one I'm talking about when you hear her comments about the "anti-testicular police."

They are at least half the reason we can't have nice things, imo.
