Two things that trouble me about the battle against ISIS

Let me preface my remarks by saying I generally support the president's plan regarding ISIS. That being said Congress should give him a resolution of support so they have some skin in the game. Also, there are nations that are capable of lending military support that aren't. They should do more than hold our proverbial coats.

1. Arab/Islamic countries helped fund this monster, and turned a blind eye

as long as it suited their purposes (overthrowing Assad, threatening Iran)--and when it gets out of hand and threatens us and everybody else, they tell us to fix it with our blood and money and planes. I really can't express my disgust adequately.

2. It seems they saw ISIS as a cudgel to use against the Shiites

But ISIS has grander goals.
