"She (Bristol) was punching him (another man) in the face like six times, it was an assault if I've ever seen one, "Eric Thompson said, adding he was among 70 guests at the birthday party in Anchorage Sunday.
"It wasn't a light punch either, she was really hitting him. I'm surprised he just sat there and took it."

"I heard Sarah Palin yell do you know who I am? All of us could not believe it. We thought we were watching an episode of Jerry Springer," he added.
A video at the link has the man talking about the ensuing mêlée. Enjoy!

What you're looking at right now is what they will always be.
It's ironic that the half governor used the "lipstick on a pig" phrase so much.

(111,277 posts)It's just a shame that Sarah had so many kids brought up so badly.
All that's left is as much whining to the press about being covered by the press as the press will cover. The woman just can't walk past a camera or microphone.
My own family is filled with bipolar disease and spectacular alcoholism and we've never had a donnybook. The Palin family must be a worse piece of work than any of us suspected.

(10,622 posts)No wonder you conservadems abandoned the poor and focus solely on the 100 grand and up "middle class", you just plain hate all of us.
I guess you don't need any city votes either as the state of most cities have us working poor as the vast majority these days. I guess you should suppress the vote outside of the gentrified areas and suburbs in an attempt to win like the Reaganite admirers that you snobs are.

It is the tell that gives them away every time and why they never speak of the poor but rather only the beloved "middle class".
Thanks for sticking up for those of us that don't have the money to dine out, take vacations, have multiple vehicles (or even the one) and usually can't accept medical care for lack of co-pay cash.

I didn't think so.
Like I tell people who reference Deliverance, it ain't the poor people ____ing you in the a__.
If our moral value and our social value are solely dependent on the style of house we live in, many on this board would be judged positively with the McMansion owners like Palin. And her house, by the looks of it, would make her the holiest of the holy.
What a fine house. A fine person must live inside of it.
Fine people have fine homes.
If your home is expansive and acceptable, you must also be acceptable. What a GOOD person you are!
Like Sarah!
No lot rent or creepy trailer on that patch of Alaska.

(95,337 posts)If the guy laid one finger on Bristol he would have had criminal charges against him and probably landed in jail even if he was defending himself.
When the Ray Rice video came out (The football player who knocked his wife out cold) the other famous elevator video was playing again - the one with Jay-Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles. In the latter video it was Solange who was doing the attacking and if you watch Jay-Z he pretty much stood there and I think tried his best to keep her away but never once fought back. I had read some comments about the Rice video that what we didn't see was that his wife had provoked him before the punch had happen. Rice would have been smart to have walked away.
In the case of this guy with Bristol Palin - this guy knew who was attacking him and knew if he even laid one finger on him he'd probably land up in a jail and be enemy #1 with the Right-Wing media. For him it was best to not fight back - he was smart, just like Jay-Z was and Ray Rice wasn't.

The fact that the GOP and Romney completely froze her out in 2012 (while Romney courted Nugent -a WTF moment in and of itself) just shows how much little regard in which she's held by the national GOP leadership.

Correction: the party was at Klingenmeyer's.
