Ravens Start Throwing Stones Inside Their Glass House.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/ravens-start-throwing-stones-inside-160352460.html?hl=1&noRedirect=1

A blistering takedown of the Ratbirds' organization. A few choice quotes:

What did that video of Ray Rice cold cocking his fiancée show us that we didn't already know? To my knowledge, Ray Rice had never denied knocking his fiancée out. Apparently, in the eyes of the NFL and the Ravens, the knowledge of what occurred was worth 2 games. But, seeing the video of what we already knew had occurred made the punishment 8x greater. Makes sense, right?

Remember, this an organization who didn't have a problem placing Jamal Lewis - convicted of trying to purchase 5 kilos of cocaine with the intent to distribute - into their Ring of Honor in 2012. This is an organization that just placed a bronze statue of Ray Lewis outside their stadium - a man who at worst took part in murdering 2 men; and at best, helped cover up the murder of 2 men (to this day no one has been convicted of the murders...but Ray Lewis settled with the families - just like OJ).

This is a Ravens organization who trotted Terrell Suggs out as a captain this past Sunday, one day before the Ray Rice tape was released. The same Terrell Suggs who has been accused on 3 separate occasions of domestic abuse (2007, 2009, 2011) - Google the claims/police reports, they include breaking his girlfriend's nose, pouring bleach over the head of his girlfriend and his child, and lastly, punching his girlfriend in the neck and dragging her outside a speeding car with their children inside.

I watched HBO's Hard Knocks this season. When one player knocks over another one he seems to say "bitch" or "ho" over half the time. And we expect the men in this macho culture playing the most violent legal sport to be nice to their wives? Wake up America, domineering bullies like Ray Rice ARE WHO WE CHEER FOR THE MOST!

In school. Like a kid facing the abusive parent you learn to pretend it never happened.Because if you told anyone the truth, you feared a beating, shaming, shuning or worse. So goes around and around the cycle of abuse. We pretend sport stars, rich people, politicians, movie stars, musicians your neighbor next door couldn't possibly cold cock thier wives..pretending abuse isnt abuse, blaming and minimizing victims does nothing to stop the abuse. Maybe abusive people need to be shamed, pointed out, confronted and stopped.

money to build stadiums. Couldn't do shit.

The fans who support this barbaric sport are the guilty ones.

Football's not about running and throwing and dodging and strategy. It's about head-bashing and body-slamming and physical aggression. When that's worshipped, women pay the price.

Isn't it clear that the worship of violence plays a big part in excusing this conduct?

it was enough to make you gag. He said he thought it was a "fight&quot both throwing punches but when he saw the tape it was different) how? Even if a women strikes you it is no excuse. The ironic thing is the only one who told the truth through this was ray rice. he never denied he punched her as all the reports are now showing.

Who wouldn't have taken the same exact punishments that he took if you were in his shoes. I know for one that I would have taken the plea arrangement and the 2 game suspension. i don't know anyone who would have asked for more punishment.
