1. While I understand the sentiment of the first cartoon,

it is generally agreed that the Hindenburg disaster was not the captain's fault. Rather, the cause of the disaster is attributed to either sabotage, or some natural phenomenon such as Saint Elmo's fire, since the dirigible was full of explosive hydrogen.

I have hated to see good DU'ers leave because of the trolling here.

FWIW I got a kick out of yesterday's anti-war toon roundup. I think I saw only about 1/2 of the responses due to those hidden by my ignore list. Made me feel good about that list. Keeps my blood pressure down.
