froze him in place. He's hoping the pitchforks and torches will die down by the time the report comes back (which will be a cover job anyway).

He is not going anyplace.

Especially since he had his bodyguard stand outside the bathroom and not let anyone in.

The guy's a serial rapist, straight up. Or I'm 99.9% sure he is anyway.

Glad you're here! I couldn't agree more. contradicta and her "I don't think ANYone could - have - predicted..." and lots of "indeed" and furrowed brow that's fully exposed to suggest brains beneath. You'll never get me to believe anything other than that she was bush's backstage girl. Especially regarding that crack she made at some chi-chi Manhattan cocktail party - "as I was telling my husband - ER, UH, I mean the president..."

He has a degree in economics so he understands very well the supply & demand advantage the NFL & its franchises has over American cities, ever since he was Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer you have seen the NFL really push for new stadiums & sweetheart deals, Goodell often there using the Super Bowl extortion in places like Miami, San Diego, Atlanta, & recently Minneapolis. They have done it before but Tagliabue was a lawyer & not really his area and it was nowhere near like it is currently today. He also manages negotiations with TV networks, collective bargaining, and so many other things like the London game.

I agree they'll throw him under the bus in a heartbeat but he excels at his job which is to make the NFL as much money as possible and shaking down cities for more lucrative revenue generating amenity stadiums where taxpayers foot over half the bill of construction costs is a very huge part of the profits the NFL currently enjoys and that has Goodell's mark all over it.

On edit - whoops didn't realize until now I responded to a months old post.

The owners will find themselves another very good businessman to run the company before they'll risk the NFL's image to save Goodell.

As soon as it can be proven that he saw the Rice video months ago, the owners will drop him in an instant, which is to say that he'll resign to "spend more time with his family" or "for the good of the nfl".

BTW, congrats on getting to keep your avatar for the week. You deserve it.

who was heard on a recording a couple months ago saying that, yes, the tape was bad.

They'll blame everything on this still anonymous female. I thought the same thing yesterday when that part of the story came out regarding whether or not the NFL offices were aware of the tape or if anyone had seen it, and then this little tidbit about the "female voice" came out. A man on the Ed Show today said the same thing -- she will be the fall guy in all this.

edit: example of the stories about the female voice

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11503851/ray-rice-videotape-sent-nfl-executive-april
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- A law enforcement official says he sent a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancée to an NFL executive five months ago, while league executives have insisted they didn't see the violent images until this week.

The official played The Associated Press a 12-second voicemail from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks and says: "You're right. It's terrible."

The NFL/NBA are extremely racist organizations owned by extremely wealthy white men who look at these players as property not people. They even use slave-esque language like "trading" when these players are moved to another team.

Given the industry ask yourself this, why would they care what he did to her when he's making them millions?

I hate to spell it out like that but there is no way, no how they're going to vote to force Goodell out ...unless there is a massive backlash against the league and people stop buying tickets, jerseys, etc but that's not going to happen. Right now they're banking on taking their property on a "redemption" tour like they did with that dog murdering scum bag Michael Vick.

OTOH if he got caught on video knocking out a white woman like that, he'd be sitting in jail right now and he would have been banned from the league for good as well as from other leagues like the AFL AND they would take every dime out of his bank account.

Just how the world works.

"Y'all git in front of them there cameras, read this here paper and tell the world that you're doing just peachy. Can't have y'all a-costin' us money." - Confederate Plantation League CEO Jebediah S. Goodell
