President George W Bush let 9/11 happen on his watch inspite of warnings.

Then he told us to go shopping. Americans had a renewed sense of patriotism.

Then his administration lied to us about who the real enemy was:

So we invaded the wrong country:

totally ignoring this little fact:

Governor Chafee, who was a U.S. senator in 2003, was the only member of the Republican Party to vote against the invasion warned his collegues "...I just didn’t understand stirring up the hornets’ nest that is the Middle East. It just never made any sense to me, and now we’re seeing some of the ramifications of having deviated from our Cold War containment strategy.”

He was not the only one that warned us about shaking up that hornet's nest.

Maybe Congratulations are in order for Bush and Cheney - the mission of shaking up the hornet's nest has been accomplished.
