MSNBC Producer, Jerry Fuckwit: Okay, Chuck, Obama is going to avoid any mention of Syria, so make sure to hit him on that.
Obama: Syria, Syria, Syria, Syria.
Chuck Todd: AHAH, President! What about Syria!
Fuckwit: NOOOOOOOOO.

(2,574 posts)Just before the clip above, re: Nicole Wallace, Bush's former communications director, joining "The View"...something like "and we all know how great at communication Geo Bush was" followed by clip of Bush stupidity at mike.
End of August (8/27) in one show he said Warren Buffet is aiding Burger King's inversion to avoid paying American taxes so Obama had to taking back Buffets "Medal of Freedom" ...(and rolled backwards video of him putting the medal on Buffet)
Also his top ten list that night was ""ten signs your eye surgeon might not be board certified" obviously to make fun of "self-certified" Rand Paul.
He's also the only decent mainstream interviewer on any of the three networks...he asks perceptive, everyman type questions and lets the guest actually talk. His interview of Maddow the night before a good example

(4,876 posts)"As Todd said, ISIS stands for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, a designation that could indicate the best way to combat the group is to take them on militarily in both of those countries. ISIL stands for the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. The Levant is a larger area of the Middle East that actually includes Lebanon and Jordan in addition to Syria. But since the Obama administration has shown much more willingness to attack ISIS in Iraq than they have to attack them in Syria, they seem to have decided it is in their best interest to leave the S out of the name."
So Todd went in with his meme that Obama was avoiding Syria. Made a complete ass of himself by showing he is a partisan hack who couldn't even be bothered to listen when the President was answering his questions.
And tomorrow he'll still have a job.
Edit: All the right wing sites are pushing this meme... And Chuck Todd fell right in line. Our media is fucking useless.

(53,661 posts)people who whine about Obama not using his 'bully pulpit.' There is no pulpit when one is edited out, talked over, deleted and trolled by a group of corporate fascists. We get very little chance to get out message out.
When we get momentum, the MSM trots out a RW sensation to make the viewers forget it, if their damage control to us breaking their meme of Libertarian and neo-con nihilism and destruction of all democratic process.
Reid, Sanders, Obama and Warren were making a change by informing people of the Koch brothers, so their pals in Nevada and MSM fill the airways with Bundystan.
That is just one of the many instances. Every time the MSM does a thing, it is selling a product. The product is the status quo, and the viewers buy it. The status quo is enabled by not declaring voting makes no difference, by saying both parties are the same, that all of our institutions are so corrupt they are not worth the effort to save or reform, when they, used correctly, are the only bulwark between the people and theocracy and in your face oligarchy.
The media no longer belongs to the people, and the First Amendment was not just for the people to review and protest wrongful acts of government, or anyone. The media misinformed us for generations now, so that people are looking fo the quick answer that only a strong man dictator will give them. The man who is willing to work through the process to save the most amount of the people, is treated like a pariah, always.
Todd was not dumb, he was following the SOP of MSM to denigrate the process of informing the people of what our government is doing and what progressives want. His words were deliberate and if Obama had acted up for him, there would have been another set of diversions set up in media to not get his message out.
NBC, CNN and MSNBC are Faux Lite. Same methods and same goals. To influence the voters because the vote does change things. And they know it. The country is up for grabs, from the ground up and all that live here, every 2 to 4 years at least, but even several times a year with local elections.

Before Dems won the mid-terms in 2006 he predicted Bush would have an approval rating of over 50% because the scuttlebutt in Conservaville was that Dems would OBVIOUSLY do what Republicans do. Mainly drag the country through endless hearings over Iraq and Katrina,....and that would be GOOD for Bush because that would make Dems the target of Conservative talk radio.
