So that's why Sheldon Cooper hates Wil Wheaton's guts! He's a fat-shamer.

https://www.facebook.com/itswilwheaton/posts/569494566510423

I jokingly call this Operation: Fat Piece of Crap Don't Be One, because it motivates me, and it's silly. ...

If I refer *to myself* as a fat piece of crap because I feel like a fat piece of crap, I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ANYONE ELSE. It is not about you.

Let me repeat that: it is not about you. Your interpretation of something that was not about you does not make it about you.

Is that nice and clear? Does everyone who can read at a fourth grade level understand this? I hope so, because I don't want to have to say this again.

Her response:

If you think that this attitude is okay, or that using fat-hating slurs against yourself doesn't hurt me and other fat people, please stop being my friend. It will be better for both of us. Good-bye, Wil. It's been kinda sometimes nice knowing you.

In the past, when I've written about this, someone inevitably loses their shit at me for wanting to be a weight that makes me comfortable. Someone inevitably yells at me about saying "fat" because it's somehow hurtful to them for some reason. Someone inevitably tells me that I'm not allowed to feel the way I feel about my body because of reasons, and I'm a horrible person for even mentioning my physical health and diet without surrounding it with whatever trigger warning that person has decided is appropriate for that moment.

So when I recently wrote about how I'm getting closer to my target weight of 155 after starting out at almost 185 a little less than a year ago, I advised people who like to yell at me about that sort of thing to skip it and do something else.

Someone didn't listen, and decided that what I *really* meant, when I was talking about myself and not saying a thing about anyone else, is that I'm "fat-phobic" and that I hate people who are overweight. This genius looked into my soul -- using the intimacy of the Internet -- and decided that what I *really* meant, was that I believe overweight people are pieces of crap. Because I made a joke about myself, at my own expense.

So that's just about the most goddamned stupid thing, ever, and wasn't worth even acknowledging, but now people are threatening me with physical harm, because someone on the Internet read something I wrote -- which was about myself -- interpreted it to mean something that it didn't, and then asserted that their interpretation of my thoughts is actually The Total Truth From The Brain Of Wil Wheaton Who Hates You, Fatso So There.

I'm thinking you didn't actually read the damn post, or that you just don't give a damn about what Wheaton is actually saying here.

used as a synonym for "crazy acting."

I'm lily white and Florida born and the pejorative has absolutely no sting. Using it as a synonym for crazy has even less.

It's Monday and I imagine there is a lot of free floating anger, especially among people who hate their M-F jobs.
