here in California's Central Valley. As in, "We're sitting out the mid-terms" backlash. Obama was so worried about the impact on 3 redneck states, he didn't think about the other 47 states. We actually had a chance at a couple of Congressional seats here. Kiss that goodbye. STUPID move!

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

'Redneck' states? Fuck off.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Sep 8, 2014, 08:01 AM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: So? What's the problem? I've seen much worse allowed to stand.
And "Fuck off"? That should be looked at by admins.
Vote to leave it.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I agree with the alerter that this is rude. Let's not forget that we are the UNITED States. Stop with the bashing.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Oh ffs, argue with the poster if s/he is wrong. This is a discussion forum, not a 'hide everything we don't like' forum. Educate them about the use of certain terms rather than shove everything under the rug.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The alert is more offensive than the post. There ARE "redneck states," oftentimes also referred to as "red states."
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: 'Redneck' states upsets you? Grow a thicker skin, Mr. or Ms. Outrage.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I was juror #4.

3. Maybe Democrats don't want to give the GOP an opportunity

to support immigration legislation before the election. The implication is that Obama is waiting for a Democratic Congress to be elected so that he can get his bill passed. That would give Hispanics an incentive to go vote against Republicans in November.

election out because they are disgusted with their Party. The Dems have a good opportunity to take back all of Congress and that Obama is waiting until he can do immigration the right way - without any Executive Action. Has anyone else heard the same?

I think MSM is trying to make Nov a horserace to generate interest/viewers. The Repubs are on the wrong side of just about every issue. Their constituents know that and are fed up with the obstruction and are willing to give the Dems the chance to right things.

A lot of Repubs are middle class people feeling the squeeze and they want to have an opportunity to live a good life again - and they realize that this won't happen with the clowns in the obstructing Repub Party.

I hope this is true. But we still have to get the Dems to GOTV. We need an overwhelming turnout.

Are the American People fed up and fired up - or - apathetic?

4. Most of his broken promises make no sense.

The problem is he is too fixated on what the beltway media horse race pundits say and not what people actually want and need. Even when legislation is passed (ie Obamacare) that should be a no brainer to sell to the people, he's content to assume people will "get" what he's trying to do and understand the byzantine DC horse race logic he used to get there.
