First off, I love seeing all the threads that pop up that point out valid criticisms of Hillary and threads that wonder WHY she is seems to be the de facto candidate. That being said, while I am not intending to speak for anyone else here, who else agrees with me that:
1. You would prefer another candidate, or at least prefer that there be challenges to her nomination so that issues can be debated.
2. If she is chosen to be the candidate, she is not the best candidate our party could produce in regards to actual stances on issues and fighting for democratic ideals.
3. If she is nominated, you hope in your heart that a REALISTIC 3rd option will arise that will be truly progressive, but if it doesn't....
4. You will certainly vote for her because the alternative is even worse.
I only point these things out because some people around seem to want the critics of Hillary to shut up, and I find that pretty offensive. We can criticize someone and still end up voting for them because they are the lesser of two evils. That's what most of us do. So why try to silence others?

(28,749 posts)If that progressive person arrives if they aren't a nominee of a major party I don't see them winning.
That's the issue with 2 major parties.

Most any Hillary thread runs about 90 percent opposed and I don't detect a lot of self-censorship therein.

(876 posts)I will prefer and will work for another candidate and/or challenger to replace her. But if my all counts Hillary is nominated then I will vote 3rd party (probably Green) instead while still voting for deserving dems. Not be what some here want but hey this pragmatic FDR-type liberal dem don't do lock step-or vote for DINO's (which what Hillary is in my opinion). Especially those who are trying to force her on to us.
