No, no I can't agree to any of that shit.

(21,024 posts)all over the net. Greed is killing the free flow of information. Which is, of course, what the owners want.
No thanks.
I hate when there's some good information about recipes, plants, pets, etc., if I accept somebody's Toolbar.....
I had enough trouble getting rid of Bing and I don't want it back..

(35,356 posts)Obama has briefings, deals with personnel and issues and makes decisions even on vacation.
A lot of DUers suddenly recognize this now that Obama's off on vacation. It's been true for every president since technology made it possible, and every time the issue's arisen somebody makes public a day or two in the life of a vacationing president (and they all look pretty similar, because form still typically follows function). In the event of an emergency, "flying back to Washington" is for convenience in talking to people face to face and for optics, being seen rushing back to the bunker to take charge.
Since everything the president in an emergency is "taking charge over" is outside the Oval Office, his "bunker," it's all about the flow of information and ease of access to the people who have it.
