before attacking the US directly on 9/11... which required a high degree of organization and financing. ISIS has conducted no large scale terror attacks, and is a long way from getting the organizational skills and money necessary to carry out an attack in the US.
Are they brutal thugs? Yes.
Are they a threat to stability in the ME? Yes.
Are they a threat to economic interests in the ME? Yes.
Are they a threat to westerners in the ME? Hell, they're a threat to every person in the ME.

However, none of that makes them a threat on US soil. If the Westboro assholes want to conduct a suicide protest in Iraq, good riddance.

There is nothing that requires any reconciliation. Maybe if someone was advocating a war with the domestic nutters it would be something but that isn't the context here. If ISIS says they would all like to pop off and leap into a volcano the same folks wanting to raise plane fair, I'm sure will be happy to donate to that too.
