Lawyer...fears his client's horns and '666' tattoo could turn jurors against him

A Massachusetts lawyer is concerned that it will be difficult to find impartial jurors for an upcoming murder trial given his client’s unique appearance, namely, implanted horns and a satanic tattoo.

Caius Veiovis, 33, is the third suspect to face trial in the August 2011 slayings of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell.

Veiovis' signature look includes two rows of bumps resembling horns protruding from his forehead, a ‘666’ tattoo between them, and other facial and neck tattoos. He also had surgically altered the shape of his ears to make them elf-like.

But then I don't even understand massive tattooing & piercing. I guess I'm just too fucking old.

Edited to add--Some people whom I deeply care for & respect are into piercings & whatnot. I don't judge people about it, I just don't understand it.

In the past, most of the people whom I saw with tats/piercings were folks who had had a whole lot of trauma in their lives, & seemed to have gotten the "decorations" at least partly because of the reward functions of the endorphins released die to the tissue injuries. That was certainly true of the many tattooed criminals I did psych evaluations on in past years, but this theory totally breaks down in the present context.

Barry Clayton, the Voice Behind Iron Maiden’s ‘Number of the Beast’ Intro, Dies
http://loudwire.com/barry-clayton-voice-behind-iron-maiden-number-of-the-beast-intro-dies/?trackback=tsmclip

Aside from uttering words in the intro of a song that is beloved by metal fans, Clayton was long considered a pioneer of black television and radio programming, launching the Black Londoner’s radio program on the BBC. Clayton produced the show from its 1974 debut until he left in 1988 to join Capital Radio.

He could cover the tattoos with make up, but he would have to get that shit out of his forehead.

On the bright side, he will probably fare well in prison.

I wonder if he would find it better to not be present in the courtroom. He could watch it on closed circuit tv and confir with his lawyer during breaks. At least give him the option.

I wonder what it would cost to remove them. Yes he put them in himself but I would be 100% ok with a judge allowing them to be removed at the states expense. It might cost a few grand but a mistrial can cost 50 times as much. If we are going to put somebody away for life thenI dont mind giving him a fair shot (even if one could make a case that he doesnt deserve it. Makeup can cover the tattoo.

... of a defendant with a sack over his head? What's the judge going to say to the jury?
"Jury, even though this defendant has guilt written all over his face, I want you to refrain from rushing to that judgement. No, on the contrary, I want you to totally disregard what you see."
They would never be able to seat a jury, because NO ONE would be able to disregard that animal's mug.

OR, he could just ask the jurors to wear sacks on their heads.

Thanks, Siwsan. Now, how am I going to get that out of mind when I go to sleep tonight?

Caius Veiovis, suspect in reputed Hell's Angels triple homicide in Pittsfield, arrested previously for assault, drinking victim's blood

Long before associating with the Hell’s Angels, Caius Veiovis was already said to be a worshiper of Satan.

Veiovis, 31, along with Adam Hall, 34, both of Pittsfield, and David Chalue, 44, of Springfield, were arrested over the weekend and charged with the kidnapping and murder of three Pittsfield men: David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell.

The three men had been missing for nearly two weeks, and their bodies were discovered in a trench at an undisclosed location Saturday, according to Berkshire District Attorney David F. Capeless.

Hall, Chalue and Veiovis were charged with three counts each of murder, kidnapping and intimidating a witness.
