Cop From a town near St. Louis says protesters should be put down like rabid dogs.

St. Louis Area Cop Thinks Protesters Should Be ‘Put Down Like Rabid Dogs’

A police officer just 15 miles away from the ongoing protests in Ferguson, Mo. allegedly said he thinks the protesters should have been “put down like rabid dogs.”

Officer Matthew Pappert is a police officer with the Glendale Police Department. He has been an officer since 2008. Pappert received the 2009 City of Glendale Community Service Award and the 2013 Kirkwood American Legion Post and Kirkwood Optimist Club Public Safety Award.

When told the Ku Klux Klan would be in Ferguson, he said there would be thugs and white trash in the same location, as well as pondered, “Where is a Muslim with a backpack when you need him?”

this is how white America non liberal thinks, just about all of them.

If you have family or friends who are anything but liberal, they think like this, pretty much.

Some worse than others but this is the attitude out there.

...but, yes, nothing should be trusted coming from The Daily Caller. I googled the officer's name and the only news link that came up was the link from the DC...

On edit: Found this:

The Webser-Kirkwood Times reported.

Glendale Police Chief Jeffrey Beaton this afternoon announced the immediate suspension of Police Officer Matthew Pappert for making several "very concerning and inappropriate posts on his personal Facebook page."

Beaton said the posts came to the attention of his department at about 10:40 a.m. Friday morning. Due to the nature of the posts, Beaton said an internal investigation was immediately initiated.

In several posts over the past few days, Pappert allegedly wrote, "I'm sick of these protesters. You are a burden on society and a blight on the community." In a later post, Beaton allegedly commented, "These protesters should have been put down like a rabid dog the first night."

Beaton, in a written statement released Friday afternoon, noted that the alleged posts and comments made by Officer Pappert "are absolutely not the views and/or opinions of the Glendale Police Department or the City of Glendale, Missouri.

all, he's not making a thread, merely expressing a wish that others would carry out the action -- but I wonder whether his Chief knows of his sentiments?

Reading the attached story in its entirety, I'm now having a true "I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked!" moment:

Glendale Police Chief Jeff Beaton said the Facebook page seems by all accounts to be Pappert.

“I’m shocked to be quite honest,” he told TheDC. “I wouldn’t expect any of my officers to make any kind of posts related directly to this incident since it doesn’t involve our agency. Again those are personal posts and they absolutely do not reflect the City of Glendale.”

Beaton also said that if events like Ferguson were to happen in Glendale, Pappert would likely be a responder.

Pappert did not reply to multiple requests for comment.

Bad choice for "crisis intervention", IMO...

On edit: and, for comic relief (from the same story):

After news of the Glendale officer's alleged comments, the Glendale Historical Society announced it was canceling this evening's (Aug. 22) annual Ice Cream Social at Glendale City Hall.

Sorry, but that made me LOL! No ice cream for YOU!
