(115,735 posts)Apart from the fact that believing something like this transcends merely stupid, I think this is yet more evidence that the GOP/Teabag contingent operates entirely under the influence of fear. Their entire ideology is based on fear. They're afraid of every damn thing, including (or maybe especially) stuff that no sane person would give a second thought to. And that fear seems to be mainly of other people, especially those who are foreign or "different" in any way. Strangely, they seem to be unafraid of things that should scare the pants off everybody, like global climate change, which they dismiss as a liberal plot to Take Away Our Freedom. But little kids from Central America? Be afraid, be very afraid.
